A Special Reason for Us to Rejoice
on June 19th: A New Novice!

At Morning Prayer on Friday, June 19th, her birthday as well as the Feast of the Sacred Heart, Sharon Ratteree received our Poor Clare habit and the name Sr. Sharon of Jesus. Her habit was blessed at Eucharist before this. Sr. Mary, our abbess, gave her the habit and encouraged her to keep her eyes on Jesus. The sisters then welcomed her into the community and gave her the Blessing of St. Clare. Sr. Sharon now begins her novitiate in preparation for taking simple vows in two years.
